Special engravings turn headstones and plaques into
much more than just grave markers
Engravings add the special touch needed to make your loved one’s memorial plaque or headstone a lasting tribute. When you arrive in our office, we sit down and listen to you. We listen to your desires for memorializing your parent, spouse, relative or friend. We also talk about how this person impacted the lives of those around him or her. From this discussion, we begin to make a rough sketch of the monument. Often times, we are able to immediately grasp our client’s ideas on how to give honor to the person who has passed away as well as summarize their life accomplishments.
Engravings in Granite: Life-Like and Versatile
If made of granite, the headstone or marker may be engraved or carved with lifelike flowers, ivy or pictures. Carved designs are a highly skilled form of stone engraving. The process is so sophisticated that the petals and leaves of the floral designs can actually look real. While typically done off-site, headstone engraving and inscriptions may also be added after the headstone is in already place.
When it comes to the inscription, a number of easily-readable fonts and styles are available. With many headstones and plaques, the inscriptions consist of the name and dates. If you so desire, you can include a poem or some type of epitaph to capture the essence of your beloved’s life.

Add a Decorative or Personalized Touch to Your
Bronze Memorial Casting
A custom bronze plaque or grave marker is ideal for keeping someone’s memory alive. Plaques can be crafted in any size or shape and mounted to granite foundations. The special feature about bronze plaques is that you can incorporate special designs to add a decorative or personalized touch. Interesting graphics, such as flowers, crosses, wheat sheaves, hearts or any other type of pictorial can add unique meaning and appearance to your custom bronze memorial. Again, different fonts are available for ease of readability and styling.
The possibilities with a bronze memorial plaque are many. To learn more about selecting a bronze marker, visit our Bronze Memorial Plaque page.
